Industrial chillers and cooling systems in USA
Air-cooled and central chillers, condensing units, dry coolers and cold rooms for projects in USA. Units are built at our factory in Konya, Turkey, load-tested and shipped export-ready. The recommendations below are based on the country's climate and power-supply conditions.

Chiller selection for conditions in USA
Climate values are long-term measurements for the reference city; the site's region and altitude may change them.
Summer heat and capacity
Reference city Houston: average high of the hottest month 34.2 °C, record high 42.8 °C. Selection should be made for adequate capacity at 43–46 °C ambient rather than the usual 35 °C catalogue rating, with the condenser sized accordingly.
Winter conditions and freezing
Record low −12.8 °C. About 30% ethylene glycol is recommended for outdoor hydraulic circuits; propylene glycol is used in food processes.
Power supply
Industrial supply: 480 V, 60 Hz. On a 60 Hz supply motors run about 20% faster, so compressors, fans and pumps are selected for 60 Hz and capacity and electrical data are recalculated. We build the unit to order for this supply.
Shipping and documents
Shipping: by sea in containers from Turkish ports. Each unit is load-tested at the factory and shipped in moisture- and impact-protective packing. In the US, UL/NEC compliance of the electrical panel may be required; requirements are clarified at the start of the project.
Source: climate table (Houston). Glycol ratios are approximate; the exact ratio is set from the manufacturer's table.

Final selection is made after the heat load calculation.
Frequently asked questions
How is a chiller selected for USA?
First the process heat load is calculated: Q (kW) = flow (m³/h) × 1.163 × ΔT. The unit is then selected for the hottest days at the site (record high 42.8 °C in the reference city) and for the 60 Hz supply.
How are delivery and installation handled?
The unit is built and load-tested at our factory in Konya, Turkey, then packed and shipped. A technical team can be sent for installation and commissioning, or your local team is supported remotely with written documentation.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Process type, required water temperature, flow rate or heat load, maximum ambient temperature at the site, supply voltage and frequency, and the delivery location.
