Industrial chillers and cooling systems in Saudi Arabia

Air-cooled and central chillers, condensing units, dry coolers and cold rooms for projects in Saudi Arabia. Units are built at our factory in Konya, Turkey, load-tested and shipped export-ready. The recommendations below are based on the country's climate and power-supply conditions.

Chiller selection for conditions in Saudi Arabia

Climate values are long-term measurements for the reference city; the site's region and altitude may change them.

  • Summer heat and capacity

Reference city Riyadh: average high of the hottest month 43.6 °C, record high 49.8 °C. Air-cooled chillers here must be specified for high-ambient (tropical) duty at 48–52 °C: oversized condenser coils, compressors rated for the higher discharge pressure, shading and no hot-air recirculation.

  • Winter conditions and freezing

Record low −5.4 °C. About 20% ethylene glycol is recommended for outdoor hydraulic circuits; propylene glycol is used in food processes.

  • Power supply

Industrial supply: 380–400 V, 60 Hz. On a 60 Hz supply motors run about 20% faster, so compressors, fans and pumps are selected for 60 Hz and capacity and electrical data are recalculated. We build the unit to order for this supply.

  • Shipping and documents

Shipping: by sea in containers from Turkish ports. Each unit is load-tested at the factory and shipped in moisture- and impact-protective packing. In Saudi Arabia product conformity is handled through the SASO/SABER system; documents are prepared with the importer.

Frequently asked questions

How is a chiller selected for Saudi Arabia?

First the process heat load is calculated: Q (kW) = flow (m³/h) × 1.163 × ΔT. The unit is then selected for the hottest days at the site (record high 49.8 °C in the reference city) and for the 60 Hz supply.

How are delivery and installation handled?

The unit is built and load-tested at our factory in Konya, Turkey, then packed and shipped. A technical team can be sent for installation and commissioning, or your local team is supported remotely with written documentation.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Process type, required water temperature, flow rate or heat load, maximum ambient temperature at the site, supply voltage and frequency, and the delivery location.
